My commitment to providing quality mental health services to individuals, couples, and families has greatly influenced my approach to therapy. I utilize an integrative influenced by Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB), Dialectical Behavioral Theory (DBT), Attachment Theory, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Theory (TF-CBT). These areas of research help us to understand how stress and trauma impact our brains and lives in ways that may go unnoticed.
I believe that it is important to understand how past events have shaped our perception of people, relationships, and the world. It is through this awareness that we are able to begin our journey towards change, and establish healthy and meaningful relationships.
I am compassionate in my belief that emotions and sensations are an important aspect of life that’s worth exploring. Although this journey may be uncomfortable at times, I feel that developing an awareness of emotions and sensations can allow my clients to establish self-compassion and relief. The therapeutic journey can help us feel less alone in the world and I am on this path with you, to support you in establishing your sense of well-being.
